Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has collaborated with numerous governments and organizations all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of several professional organizations, such as The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
